Faulty Hot Water Sensor Causes Boiler Fault

Faulty Hot Water Sensor Causes Boiler Fault

One of our repeat customers contacted us recently via telephone to report a problem with their boiler, specifically having no hot water.  The customer provided the fault code on the boiler. Upon arrival, the boiler was tested and the engineer found the problem to be a faulty hot water sensor.

Faulty Hot Water Sensor Causes Boiler Fault

Due to being local, the engineer was aware that the area the customer lives in is prone to hard water, upon inspection of the boiler the engineer could see there were signs of limescale and corrosion around the hot water sensor.

Unfortunately, the engineer didn’t have stock readily available on the van. However, one of our trusted local suppliers had one in stock. Due to the urgency of the repair the engineer collected the part, returned to the property and the part was fitted to the boiler.

The customer was extremely happy that the repair was carried out in a quick and timely manner and was done right the first time.

Fitting an inline limescale fighter on the incoming cold water supply to the boiler could reduce issues like this in hard water areas.  To see if you could benefit from a limescale fighter please follow the link and enter your postcode to check the water quality.
